Before:   An evil look contorted his perfect, beautiful face.  After:  His sweet face darkened, his mouth twisted and his eyes narrowed until he no longer resembled the young man I fell in love with at the snowy cabin.

This is an example of a change to Chapter 136 (Lives of Ghosts) to better describe the scene where Rose confronts Donal (the doppelgänger) who came to take her back to Alaska against her will.

I think it’s ten times better, personally.  I may not compose prose like Ernest Hemingway or Henry James, but I’m [slowly] making progress.  🙂
